WALT know the author and their background.
Hello there,
This week for reading we had to read a novel book called Refugee, it’s about 3 different refugee stories that are combined in one book.I haven’t read that much yet, but the first story is about a little Jewish boy called Josef Landau that were living in Nazi Germany. The second story is about a little girl living in Cuba called Isabel Fernandez and her father is trying to build a boat to the US. The third story is about a little boy named Mahmoud, who’s from Syria. After getting beat up by bullies because he tried to defend his friend, who was getting beaten up, he decided to try and blend in as much as possible to avoid the bullies.
For the create task, we had to research about the author of the book, Alan Gratz and then create an author profile about him. We could choose between using google drawing or Canva, I chose Canva since it’s easier to work around as it already has a lot of resources.
